Dunfermline Athletic`s Glory Days in the 1960s would never have happened without the foresight and ambition of David Thomson. He transformed the club both on and off the field during his time as chairman.
Bringing stability at boardroom level, he introduced a Development Club that raised funds needed to modernise East End Park and above all, he was behind the inspired appointment of Jock Stein as manager in March 1960.
