Stevie `Snowy` Morrison - The Free Kick Specialist
Few players have captured the hearts of the East End Park faithful quite like Stevie Morrison. Known affectionately as `Snowy`, Morrison became a cult hero thanks to his thunderous shooting ability, particularly from dead ball situations where his dipping, swerving strikes became the stuff of legend.
Signed by Pat Stanton in 1981 for £7,000 from Aberdeen, Morrison arrived at Dunfermline as a promising striker but found his home in midfield, where his exceptional free kick prowess could be fully utilised. His journey to Fife had begun at St Mirren Boys Club, where he caught the eye of a young Alex Ferguson. When Ferguson moved to Aberdeen, Morrison followed, spending three productive years at Pittodrie.

Morrison always credited Sir Alex with shaping his career, claiming that only his father had been a greater influence. The move to Dunfermline initially saw him revert to part-time football, but he was among the first players to embrace full-time status when the club offered the opportunity during the 1986-87 season - a decision that saw his form flourish.
As a key member of Jim Leishman`s team that climbed through the divisions, Morrison scored 48 goals in 277 appearances before departing for Hamilton Academical in 1989, leaving behind a legacy of spectacular goals and unwavering commitment that fans still recall with fondness.

Barry Nicholson - The Energetic Playmaker
Born in Dumfries on 24th August 1978, Barry Nicholson`s path to Dunfermline began at Maxwelltown Thistle before Rangers recognised his potential with a youth contract. Despite progressing to a full contract at Ibrox on 3rd July 1995 and earning seven Scotland Under-21 caps, first-team opportunities proved limited.
It was Jimmy Calderwood who brought Nicholson to East End Park in August 2000, and while he had primarily played as a right-back at Rangers, it was on the right side of midfield where he truly excelled for the Pars. His boundless energy and exceptional vision quickly marked him out as something special.
Nicholson`s five-year spell at Dunfermline proved to be the making of him as a player. His performances earned him three full Scotland caps and four Scotland B caps, with his international appearances coming against Poland, Latvia, and Sweden. The pinnacle of his Pars career came in 2004 when he played in the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic.
However, it was his route to that final that provided one of the most memorable moments in recent club history. His `Archie Gemmill-esque` goal against Inverness Caledonian Thistle secured Dunfermline`s place in their first Scottish Cup Final for 35 years, a moment that will forever be etched in Pars folklore.
Nicholson made 206 appearances for Dunfermline, scoring 30 goals, and became one of only 40 players in the club`s history to reach the 200-appearance milestone. His departure to Aberdeen in July 2005 for a reported £250,000 saw him reunite with Calderwood, but his contribution to the Pars` cause had already been secured.
His career continued with spells at Preston North End, Fleetwood Town, and Kilmarnock before hanging up his boots in 2014. In the 2024-25 season, Nicholson served as assistant to Callum Davidson at Queen`s Park, continuing his involvement in Scottish football.
A Night to Remember
The Glen Pavilion once again provided the perfect setting for celebrating Dunfermline Athletic`s heritage. The Hall of Fame has served its purpose admirably - recognising the club`s greatest servants and heroes while ensuring their achievements are celebrated and remembered for all time.
Morrison and Nicholson join an illustrious list of inductees, their names now permanently inscribed in the Roll of Honour alongside the other legends who have helped shape the proud history of Dunfermline Athletic. Both men epitomise the qualities that make players special to supporters - skill, commitment, and memorable moments that live long in the memory.
Stevie and Barry shared memories of their managers and team mates, both highlighting having played their best football while at Dunfermline Athletic, along with the special backing the supporters gave them during their time at the club.
For the Pars faithful, Friday`s ceremony was another opportunity to celebrate the rich tapestry of their club`s history and honour two more heroes who helped weave that story.
